Anne Alessandra Cuadros Gutiérrez

Anne Alessandra Cuadros Gutiérrez is a Peruvian lawyer, graduated from San Ignacio de Loyola University, Peru, with a specialization in international law and international humanitarian law.

She served as a youth delegate for Nuclear Disarmament in 2023 with Youth for TPNW at the United Nations, was awarded a scholarship at the University of Milan, and participated in the Hiroshima - ICAN Academy on Nuclear Weapons and Global Security 2023. 

Currently, she works as an intern at the Organization of American States (OAS) in the CICTE area and serves as a Project Assistant at Scrap Weapons. Anne has actively participated in the Youth Hotline campaign on Russia-US relations regarding nuclear weapons and in programs with the Youth Fusion Abolition 2000 Network. 

Her research focuses on international humanitarian law related to nuclear weapons and firearm control with a gender perspective. She is the author of articles such as "Barbenheimer: The use of nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a technique of negative publicity" and "Principle of distinction in the case of nuclear weapons." Anne also addresses inadequate firearm control in Latin America and its impact on women's security, among other topics.
